Intro to Hitting Clinic

Smart Contact. Controlled Aggression. Confident Execution.

Hitting isn’t about being reckless.
It’s about being calculated.

Our Atomic Hitting Clinic is a 2-hour intensive designed to remove fear, eliminate hesitation, and teach players how to give and receive contact the right way.

This clinic is split into:

  • 1 Hour Classroom (Hockey IQ + Contact Mechanics)
  • 1 Hour On-Ice (Controlled Application + Game Scenarios)

Because physical hockey is not just instinct — it’s education.

Hour 1: Classroom – Understand Before You Engage

Before players step on the ice, they learn the science and strategy behind body contact.

What We Teach:

The Purpose of Contact

Contact
Mechanics

Angling & Containment

Receiving
Contact

We break down real game video examples so players understand:
  • What clean contact looks like
  • What penalties look like
  • Why poor technique leads to injury

Confidence comes from clarity.

Hour 2: On-Ice – Controlled Execution

Once players understand the “why,” we move to the “how.”

Every drill is progressive. Every rep is supervised. Every contact is controlled.

On-Ice Focus:

Contact Fundamentals

Angling
Drills

Board Play
& Battles

Game-Scenario Application

Who This Is For

This clinic is specifically designed for:

  • U13 players transitioning into U15, preparing for full contact hockey
  • U15 players entering their second year, who expect to compete at the Rep level next season

If your athlete plans to play Rep hockey where body contact is part of the game, this clinic prepares them properly.

This is not a “learn on the fly” situation.

Players who wait to figure it out during games often hesitate, get overwhelmed, or put themselves in vulnerable positions.

We prepare them before that happens.

The Result

Players who:

  • Finish checks properly
  • Win puck battles consistently
  • Protect themselves under pressure
  • Play physical without taking penalties
  • Step into contact with confidence instead of hesitation
