Registration Open – Build Skills That Win Real Games
High-Performance On-Ice Training (Now Powered by PEP)
Atomic Hockey is now PEP (Power Edge Pro) Certified. This is the modern skills system built for today’s stick-on-puck game. If your player is ready to move beyond “busy drills” and build inside-ice offense that shows up on game day, this program is for them.
Our on-ice programs bring the same constraints-led, multi-overload training system used by top NCAA and NHL programs to every on-ice session. PEP trains athletes to solve pressure at speed — relocating the puck before contact while keeping their feet driving — so hands and feet fire together under real game conditions.
We Focus On:
Reactive Countering Environment: Multiple stick-lane “overloads” create defender-like interference on every rep. Players automatically relocate the puck while accelerating, instead of gliding and getting stripped.
Short-Route Hockey: Tight 13″ speed lanes and 42″ stick-reach lanes simulate real gaps and defender blades. Athletes learn to move the puck 2–4 feet and explode through seams, not loop wide to the wall.
Deception That Moves Defenders: Edge loading + upper-body “false information” baked into every route. Defenders bite; your player separates. More clean entries, better looks from the inside.
High-Value Repetition Engine: 250–450 tactical puck touches per session (not just “contacts”). Decisions wire into instinct. Faster reads, fewer turnovers, more dangerous touches in the slot.
Progressions (Not Drill-of-the-Week): We keep circuits and systematically reduce space, raise speed, and add stick lanes. Mastery compounds week to week. Skills transfer to games instead of resetting every session.
Every session is high-tempo to improve endurance, strength, and power while building the skills that transfer directly into game performance — not just busy drills.
This is for players who get stuffed at blue lines, lose pucks on back-pressure, or drift to the perimeter under pressure.
Current Program: U11/U13 Skill Development
Program Highlights:
- Age Group: U11 & U13 Elite
- Max Capacity: 24 Players Per Class
- Certified Coaching: We teach the exact mechanics PEP is built on—edge loads, shoulder cues, puck-placement distances—and we fix the micro details.
- Small Groups, Big Outcomes: Tight ratios = meaningful feedback and more tactical touches per player, every session.
- Consistency Over Novelty: We keep circuits and progress the difficulty so your player gets better, not just busier.

Backed by Science
Brock University: Proven Performance with PEP R.C.T.™
Independent research from Brock University (2017) validated the measurable impact of Power Edge Pro’s Reactive Countering Training™ (R.C.T.) on player development compared to traditional methods.
Players training with the PEP system showed statistically significant gains in three key performance areas:
Speed — faster reaction time and movement efficiency
Accuracy — improved control and precision under pressure
Puck Interaction — enhanced puck handling and decision-making in dynamic environments
As a PEP-Certified Training Center, Atomic Hockey integrates these same proven methods into every session—helping our athletes develop the speed, control, and composure that translate directly to game performance.
It’s Not a Gadget. It’s a Game-Changer.
At Atomic Hockey, we’ve integrated Power Edge Pro’s advanced training system—the same technology trusted by NHL and elite development programs.
Traditional hockey training tools like pylons or single-overload setups can’t replicate the dynamic decision-making that happens in real games.
PEP’s multi-overload system forces constant reactive movement, challenging players to counter, recover, and execute under pressure—just like in live play.
This isn’t a gimmick—it’s a proven training breakthrough backed by science and built into every Atomic session.

Why Train On-Ice with Atomic Hockey?
Our programs combine certified coaching, small-group ratios, and now, PEP’s reactive countering environment. Each session delivers 250–450 purposeful puck touches through tight 13″ and 42″ stick-reach lanes — the same design that develops deception, timing, and inside-ice offense.
This system has been proven across elite hockey — from youth academies to NHL teams — and now forms the foundation of every on-ice block at Atomic.
- Cleaner zone entries: punch-through speed instead of glide-handle.
- Fewer stick-on-puck turnovers: puck is moved before contact.
- More inside touches: confidence to attack middle ice without drifting out.
- Composure under pressure: players expect contact and solve it.
